Capabilities and limitations
- Beds24 exports inventory and multiple rates.
- Beds24 exports minimum and maximum stays, and dates closed to arrival and closed to departure.
- Beds24 imports bookings, modifications and cancellations. You can turn off importing cancellations for individual bookings.
- Tiket also receives prices from other providers, so a room can appear several times on Tiket.
- Beds24 imports only bookings made after you connect. Enter existing bookings manually, see Existing bookings.
- Upsell items can't be exported.
For the full list, see Channel Manager Capabilities.
Before you connect
Beds24 only sends availability when you have prices that are active for Tiket. See Setting Prices for Booking Channels. Tiket supports two pricing models:
| Pricing model | What Beds24 sends |
|---|---|
| Per Day | A room price for the maximum room occupancy. For example, if the room holds 4 guests, you need a room price for 4 guests. Prices for 1, 2 or 3 guests aren't sent. If you use daily prices with extra person prices, set the daily price for the maximum occupancy and add the extra person price as a negative value. |
| Per Occupancy Pricing | A price for each occupancy defined in Beds24. Daily prices are sent including occupancy, several occupancy prices can go on each rate plan, and the extra person price is sent. Fixed prices send the 1 person, 2 person and room price (for the occupancy you specify), and several prices with different occupancies can go on the same rate plan. Extra person and extra child prices, and discounts on the Discounts tab, can't be sent. |
If you sell rooms individually elsewhere but as a room type with a quantity above one on Tiket, set up virtual rooms.
Connect Tiket
You need: your Tiket ID and the pricing model set in Tiket.
Step 1: Request the connection at Tiket
Email hotelconnectivity@tiket.com and ask for connectivity with the Beds24 channel manager. Include your Tiket ID and property name.
Step 2: Enter your Tiket ID
- Go to Settings > Channel Manager > Tiket and enter your Tiket ID.
- Select your Tiket pricing model.
Step 3: Map your rooms and rates
- Click Get Code next to the room type ID setting and click the Tiket room ID you want to map to each Beds24 room.
- Click Get Code next to the rate plan ID setting and click the Tiket standard rate for this room.
Step 4: Add a price multiplier (optional)
To mark your prices up or down, or convert the currency, enter a multiplier in the Multiplier field, for example *1.23 (raises prices by 23%) or *[CONVERT:IDR-EUR][/]0.85 (converts Indonesian rupiah to euros and lowers the price by 15%). See Price multiplier for all options.
Step 5: Activate the connection
- Set Enable = Enable.
- Click Save.
- Click Price Data to check the availability and prices Beds24 sends.
Expected result: Beds24 sends your availability and prices to Tiket and imports new bookings, modifications and cancellations.
If you receive error messages, fix them immediately: Tiket rejects all updates while there is an error. See Troubleshooting. Changes to settings, such as minimum stays, the multiplier or the number of rooms, go with the next update, see Updates and changes.
Tip: To limit the number of bookings Tiket can accept, use Channel Inventory. By default, all available rooms are sent to active channels.
Multiple rates at Tiket
Tiket supports several prices per room, for example for different minimum stays, meal options, or refundable and non-refundable rates. Tiket sets up several rate plan IDs per room, each with its own booking conditions, and you map a different Beds24 price or offer to each one. See Map channel rate codes. If you don't have the rate IDs you need, ask Tiket to add them.
Charge virtual credit cards
To charge Tiket virtual cards automatically on the date they become valid, set Auto Process Virtual Cards = Yes. Virtual cards become valid on the check-in date and stay valid for 60 days after it. If you charge a virtual card manually, you can only do it after the activation date.
Warning: This option needs Stripe. If you turn on virtual cards without Stripe, Beds24 creates a pending payment that can't be collected. See Stripe Channel Virtual Cards.
- You can attach a payment rule to the pending payment to control how it's collected, for example to use only virtual cards and not a guest card.
- To adjust the charge automatically to the amount on the card, create a payment rule with Funds Source = Virtual Card and Payment value adjustment set to any option except None.
Troubleshooting
Beds24 emails you any error Tiket returns during an update. For general causes and fixes, see Troubleshooting in How the Channel Manager works.
| Error or symptom | Cause and fix |
|---|---|
| A room shows several times on Tiket | Tiket also receives prices from other providers. Prices other than the ones under Price Data in Settings > Channel Manager > Tiket come from other providers. |
Invalid pricing model |
Change the pricing model in Beds24 to match the one set in Tiket. |
Price incorrect for room/unit |
The rate can't be lower than the minimum threshold. Check the current threshold in the Tiket room menu. |
Disconnect Tiket
- Set Enable = Disable to stop the synchronisation for a room.
- To disconnect the channel manager completely, you may need to ask Tiket to disconnect you.
