Connect Rakuten Travel to Beds24 through Vacation STAY to send your availability and prices and import bookings and cancellations automatically. Properties listed on Vacation STAY are listed on Rakuten Travel automatically.
Quick Guide
- Ask Vacation STAY for API credentials for Beds24.
- In Settings > Channel Manager > Rakuten, enter your Vacation STAY property ID, API username and API password.
- Map your rooms with Get Code.
- Check View Actual Data, tick Inventory, Prices and Bookings, and save.

How the connection works
Beds24 connects to Vacation STAY, and Vacation STAY is connected to Rakuten Travel by an API integration. When you create a listing on Vacation STAY, your property is listed on Rakuten Travel automatically.
Note: Creating the property on Rakuten Travel is semi-automated, so it can take a few weeks for the property to appear on Rakuten Travel.
Capabilities and limitations
- Beds24 exports inventory and prices.
- Beds24 imports bookings and cancellations.
- Extra person prices, minimum stays and maximum stays can't be exported. You can set an extra person price directly in your Vacation STAY extranet.
- Vacation STAY doesn't support modifications. To change a booking, the guest cancels and books again.
- If a guest books more than one room, Vacation STAY sends a separate, unconnected booking for each room.
- Beds24 imports only bookings made after you connect. Enter existing bookings manually, see Existing bookings.
- Upsell items can't be exported.

Before you connect
- Beds24 only sends availability when you have prices that are active for this channel. See Setting Prices for Booking Channels.
- Beds24 sends one price per day. If several prices are active for the channel, the price with the lowest minimum stay is sent.
- Extra person and extra child prices, and discounts on the Discounts tab of fixed prices, can't be sent.
- If you use daily prices with extra person prices, set the daily price for the maximum occupancy and add the extra person price as a negative value.
Connect Rakuten Travel
You need:
- Your Vacation STAY property ID. If you don't have a Vacation STAY account yet, register on the Vacation STAY extranet, then enter your property information and upload photos there.
- Your Vacation STAY API username and API password.
Step 1: Request API credentials from Vacation STAY
- Fill in the Vacation STAY connection request form and ask Vacation STAY customer support for API credentials between Beds24 and Vacation STAY.
- Vacation STAY emails you when the connection is enabled and sends you a special API password.
Warning: The API credentials are different from your extranet login. You can't use your normal Vacation STAY username and password.
Step 2: Enter your credentials in Beds24
- Go to Settings > Channel Manager > Rakuten.
- Enter your Vacation STAY property ID, API username and API password.
- Click Save.
Step 3: Map your rooms
- Click Get Code next to the room type ID setting.
- Click the room ID you want to map to each Beds24 room.
- When the room ID is copied into the room type ID setting, click Save.
Step 4: Activate the connection
- Click View Actual Data to check the availability and prices Beds24 will send.
- Tick Inventory, Prices and Bookings.
- Click Save.
Expected result: Beds24 sends your availability and prices to Vacation STAY and imports new bookings and cancellations. The connection works if you receive no error messages and the channel shows the right availability and prices. Changes to settings go with the next update, see Updates and changes.
Price multiplier
To mark your prices up or down, or convert the currency, add * and the multiplier to your property ID. For example, 123456*1.23 raises all prices for property 123456 by 23%, and 123456*[CONVERT:IDR-EUR][/]0.85 converts Indonesian rupiah to euros and raises the price by about 15%. Beds24 emails you any error the channel returns during an update. For general causes and fixes, see Troubleshooting in How the Channel Manager works.

Disconnect
- Untick Inventory, Prices and Bookings to stop the synchronisation.
- To disconnect at Vacation STAY, fill in the Vacation STAY disconnection request form.
