Add a cleaning fee to your prices in one of two ways: build it into a Fixed Price so the prices guests see already include it, or add it as an obligatory upsell item. Obligatory extras and Fixed Price discounts aren't sent to all OTAs.

Show prices including the cleaning fee
Use a Fixed Price that already contains the fee. Only use this method if the prices guests see on the first screen of your booking page should include the cleaning fee.
Example: the price per night is €100, and a €50 cleaning fee applies however long the guest stays.
- In the Summary tab of the Fixed Price, set Room Price = 150.
- In the Discounts tab, set Nights = 2 and Per night = 50.
Expected result: the first night costs €150 (€100 plus the fee) and each further night €100.
Note: discounts in the Discounts tab of a Fixed Price aren't sent to OTAs. Check the help page of each OTA you use for how fees are handled.
Show the cleaning fee on the first page of the booking page
Enter the fee text in, for example, Description 2 of the offer in Settings > Properties > Offers. The text shows if the Offer Description 2 module is activated in Settings > Booking Engine > Property Booking Page > Layout.
Add the cleaning fee as an obligatory extra
Steps:
- Go to Settings > Booking Engine > Upsell Items.
- Choose Obligatory Cleaning from the drop-down menu.
Expected result: the cleaning fee is added to every booking.
Upsell items are created per property. To charge different cleaning fees for different rooms:
- Create an obligatory cleaning upsell item for each fee.
- Open the Fixed Price of each room and, in the Upsell tab, activate the cleaning fee for that room and deactivate the others.
Note: this doesn't work for channels, because upsell items can't be exported to channels.
Send cleaning fees to OTAs
Obligatory extras aren't sent to all OTAs. Check the help page of each OTA you use for how fees are handled, and see Fees.
