Payment rules decide when and how Beds24 collects pending payments automatically with Stripe. Create them in Settings > Payments > Payment Rules, then select a rule when you add a pending payment on the Charges and Payments tab of a booking, in an Auto Action, or for OTA virtual cards.
Prerequisites: automatic collection only works with Stripe connected through Stripe Connect (the Connect to Stripe button).
There are two standard rules, Auto and Manual. When a pending payment is due, Beds24 checks whether its rule applies. If it does, the payment is triggered and the rule's info code is added to the Info tab of the booking.
Create a payment rule
- Go to Settings > Payments > Payment Rules.
- Click Create New Payment Rule.
- Fill in the settings (see Payment rule settings) and save.
Expected result: the rule is available in the Payment Rule field of pending payments and Auto Actions.

Tip: To stop collecting pending payments for cancelled bookings, create a rule with Booking Status = All not cancelled and Prevent payment if booking status = Cancelled.
Tip: For Booking.com virtual cards, the charge can be adjusted automatically to the amount on the card: create a rule with Funds Source = Virtual Card and any Payment value adjustment except None.
