Poster is a POS system for restaurants, bars, coffee shops and similar businesses. With the Poster integration, you choose whether to collect a payment at the counter or charge the order to the guest's room: orders assigned to a room, and any payment made at the restaurant or bar, appear in the Beds24 booking in real time.
What the integration does
- You choose whether to collect payments directly at the counter or add the charges to the invoice for the room.
- If you assign an order to a room, the order and any payment made at the restaurant or bar appear on the Charges and Payments tab of the booking in real time.
- Limitation: receipts in the Poster POS order history show the payment type as "card".
Connect Poster
You need: an account with Poster. For Beds24, the normal channel manager fees apply.
Step 1: Connect the Beds24 Poster app
- Sign in to Poster.
- Connect the Beds24 app in the Poster marketplace.
- Get your Poster account ID: sign in to Poster management and click the icon at the bottom left.
Step 2: Activate the connection
- Go to Settings > Marketplace > Poster and enter your Poster account ID.
- To make bookings available in advance (not only checked-in bookings), set Include upcoming bookings (days).
- To make departed bookings available (not only checked-in bookings), set Include departed bookings (days).
- Set Synchronise = Bookings for every room type you want to be available in Poster.
- Click Save.
Expected result: your checked-in guests (and, if set, upcoming and departed guests) are available in Poster.
How it works
- With an order selected in Poster, open the ... menu at the bottom left and click Assign to room.
- A list of checked-in guests opens. Select a guest to send the order to their booking. Click Get future guests to show guests who haven't checked in yet, or guests who have departed, as set in Beds24.
- When you click pay on an order assigned to a guest, choose Charge to room to charge the order to the room in Beds24.
Disconnect Poster
- Untick Bookings to stop sending bookings.
- Delete the Beds24 app from Poster in the Poster marketplace.
