Capabilities and limitations

  • One connection updates the Emerging Travel Group brands: Emerging Travel Group, RateHawk and ZenHotels.
  • Beds24 exports inventory and multiple rates.
  • Beds24 imports bookings and cancellations. You can turn off importing cancellations for individual bookings.
  • Beds24 imports only bookings made after you connect. Enter existing bookings manually to block the dates, see Existing bookings.
  • Upsell items can't be exported.

For the full list, see Channel Manager Capabilities.

Before you connect

Beds24 only sends availability when you have prices that are active for Emerging Travel Group. See Setting Prices for Booking Channels.

  • Beds24 sends a single (1 guest), double (2 guests) and room price; the room price applies to the maximum occupancy. For more occupancies, ask Emerging Travel Group for extra rate IDs, see Multiple rates.
  • Extra person and extra child prices, and discounts on the Discounts tab of fixed prices, can't be sent.
  • If you use daily prices with an extra person price, set the daily price for the maximum occupancy and add the extra person price as a negative value, so the price for full occupancy can be sent.
  • If you sell rooms individually elsewhere but as a room type with a quantity above one here, set up virtual rooms.

Expected result: Beds24 sends your availability and prices and imports new bookings and cancellations. The connection works if you receive no error messages and Emerging Travel Group shows the right availability and prices.

Note: Beds24 overwrites prices already set in Emerging Travel Group but can't remove them. If Beds24 sends no prices, it sends no availability, and Emerging Travel Group shows its original data.

Changes to settings, such as minimum stays or number of rooms, go with the next update, see Updates and changes.

Price multiplier

For Emerging Travel Group, add the multiplier to your hotel ID. For example, 123456*12.34 multiplies all prices for hotel ID 123456 by 12.34, and *[CONVERT:IDR-EUR][/]0.85 converts Indonesian rupiah to euros and divides the price by 0.85, which raises it by about 15%. See Price multiplier for all options.

Multiple rates at Emerging Travel Group

You can send several rates for each date, for example for different occupancies, minimum stays, meal options, or refundable and non-refundable rates. Emerging Travel Group sets up several rate plan IDs per room, each with its own booking conditions, and you map a different Beds24 rate or offer to each one. If you don't have the rate plan IDs you need, ask Emerging Travel Group to add them.

To see all mapping codes for the property, click Get the Emerging travel group Room and Rate Codes for this Property Code.

Fixed prices

You can map each fixed price to any active Emerging Travel Group rate plan ID that isn't derived or linked. Enter the rate plan ID on the Channel tab of the fixed price. If you leave it blank, the rate plan ID in the channel manager settings is used. If the rate is linked to other offers or rooms, use the selector to choose the room to map.

Offers and daily prices

Beds24 supports up to four offers per room, and you can map each offer to a different rate plan ID. This is useful for daily prices, because you can assign each daily price row to an offer. In the rate plan ID setting, separate the rate plan IDs with colons:

Setting Result
11111:22222:33333:44444 Offer 1 goes to rate plan 11111, offer 2 to 22222, offer 3 to 33333 and offer 4 to 44444.
:22222:33333:44444 Offer 1 is only for the Beds24 booking page; offers 2, 3 and 4 go to Emerging Travel Group.
12345678,123456789 The same price goes to several rate plan IDs, for example so a daily price set to Do not allow lower prices overrides several rate plans.

If the channel manager setting has comma-separated rate plan IDs and each Beds24 rate has its own rate plan ID, each rate is mapped to its rate plan ID, and daily prices go to all the listed rate plan IDs, overriding the rate price when needed.

Troubleshooting
