Charge a different price for children with the extra child price in a Daily Price or Fixed Price. For different prices per age group, use upsell items with a negative value. Children and extra person prices aren't sent to OTAs.

Set a children price
How many children a room allows is set in Settings > Properties > Rooms > Setup.
- Daily Prices (recommended): set the Extra Child price in Prices > Daily Price Rules.
- Fixed Prices: go to Prices > Fixed Prices, open the Fixed Price (or create one) and enter the price in Extra Child. You can also set whether the children price applies on its own or also changes the adult price.
Note: extra child prices can't be sent to channels.
Show the age group on the booking page
If your children price applies to an age group, change the text of the children selector in Settings > Booking Engine > Property Booking Page > Developers > Custom Text, for example:

Charge different prices per age group
You can set one children price. For several age groups, create an optional upsell item with a negative amount for each group.
Example: a room costs €100 for one guest and €50 for each additional guest. These discounts apply to children:

One child per room:
- Go to Settings > Properties > Rooms > Setup and set Maximum Adults to the number of adults you allow and Maximum Children to 1.
- Go to Settings > Booking Engine > Upsell Items and create one upsell item per age group:
- Type: Optional
- Amount: the amount from the table
- Per: Child
- Period: Daily
- Description: for example, "Discount for children 2–6 years"
More than one child per room:
- Go to Settings > Properties > Rooms > Setup and set Maximum Adults to Use Guests and Maximum Children to Dont ask.
- Go to Settings > Booking Engine > Upsell Items and create one upsell item per age group:
- Type: Optional qty
- Amount: the amount from the table
- Per: Room
- Period: Daily
- Description: for example, "Children under 2 years are free"
Expected result: guests select the matching upsell item on the booking page and the discount is taken off the price.

Let children stay free with occupancy prices
Example: you use adult occupancy prices and children stay free.
Steps:
- Go to Prices > Daily Price Rules and add a new Daily Price:
- Price For: Up to 1 person (or the number of guests your base price is for)
- Extra Person Price: the price for each additional adult
- Extra Child Price: 0.01 (it can't be zero)
- Go to Settings > Properties > Description and set Price Rounding to -0.10.
Expected result: the price rounding removes the 0.01 extra child price, so children stay free.
