Set up apartments, cabins, holiday houses and other self-catering units by creating one room for each unit guests book, then renaming "room" to the word your guests expect. Add cleaning fees and other extra charges as upsell items.

Choose properties or rooms for your units
In Beds24 a room is any separately bookable unit, so an apartment, cabin or whole holiday house is a room. If you rent a property as a whole, you still create one room that represents the complete property.
- Units with their own channel codes: if you use the channel manager, set up Beds24 the same way as your booking channels. Units with different hotel codes on Booking.com or other channels must be separate properties.
- Units as rooms in one property: you can set up several independent apartments or villas as rooms in one property if that suits your marketing. Each room has its own prices and booking rules.
- Units as separate properties: each property gets its own booking page, with its own design if you want one. A multiple property booking page can show all properties with search filters such as facilities and location.

Change the display name for rooms
Steps:
- Go to Settings > Properties > Rooms > Setup.
- In Display Name, enter the word you want instead of "room", such as apartment or cabin.
- Save your changes.
Expected result: your booking page shows your word instead of "room".
Add cleaning fees and other extra charges
Steps:
- Go to Settings > Booking Engine > Upsell Items.
- Add the charge and set it as optional or obligatory.
- Save your changes.
Expected result: the charge is set up as an upsell item for your bookings.

Important notes
- Every property needs at least one room, even when you rent it as a whole.
- If you use the channel manager, match your Beds24 setup to your channel setup before you connect.
